South of England

An early morning start and off to South of England with the two advanced boys both in the Intermediate. Imperato did a very smart test for 30.5 and a bouncy double clear, and as always feeling amazing XC and making nothing of it. He added a few time faults to his dressage to finish 5th in his section.

Creeslough was having a slightly off day, a bit unsettled for his dressage but never the less scored 34.5.
In the show jumping he was rather spooky which is very unlike him and out of character but then made up for it with a great bold clear XC.

Moreton Morrel

Eyesnosebest, Watch Me and Worldly Wise in the Novice and nice to have a slightly more local event only 1 hour away.

The 3 mares had a day of mixed results  Eyesnosebest did a lovely test for 33.5 then a fantastic clear SJ in an arena that often causes many problems. XC she was going very well until she completely misunderstood the bounce step to palisade, rather unfortunate but all a learning curve for her and mileage on the clock.

Watch Me was on great form if a little tense at times in her test scoring a 37, followed by a great double clear round a track causing plenty of problems. She finished 10th in her Novice section.

Worldly Wise also didn't do her best test but it proved hard to keep them concentrating when the XC was running straight past the dressage arenas. She then show jumped well just having a couple of very unlucky poles, but then making up for it with a great clear XC.
