Goring Heath

With an action packed weekend ahead we headed to Goring Heath with Laura Simpson and 6 horses!

Plenty of cleaning, washing, plaiting and re packing.

6th- Trendy Captain Clover  BE100 Plus         2nd- Cruise On Inny  NOV

10th- One Misty Morning     BE100                3rd- Echo P  BE100

10th- Knights Escapade      BE100 Plus

A smart test by Trendy Captain Clover scored abn impressive 26, to be in the top 3 after dressage. Sadly just adding an annoying pole in the SJ but a quick clear XC for 6th place. This little horse is going very well and will also be competed by owner Milly Kaye in the not too distant future. He has a scopey jump ad is progressing well on the flat.

Knights Escapade did an error free test but rather harshly marked for 31, never the less he went on to jump a brilliant double clear to finish 10th in his section.  Its brilliant to have him back on such great form following his injury. He shall contest at a Novice next time out and aim for CCI* mid season.
One Misty Morning took his first BE100 in his stride. He did a good test, and felt lovely and relaxed to score a 30. He then jumped a fantastic clear SJ round an up to height and spooky course. The XC was certainly a challenge for his first run at this level with plenty of questions. He went on to jump a great clear, just adding a couple of time faults to finish 10th.

Day Two saw Cruise On Inny, competing in the Novice. He scored a PB score of 20.5 in the dressage, even with a little mistake. Lieing 2nd after the dressage by 0.2 he then jumped a consistent double clear. The time XC was very tight but he tried hard in the muddy conditions and undulating ground... something he would not always favour but is feeling much stronger this year and coped well.
Echo P kept up consistent form to score a 28 dressage, feeling so rideable. He then show jumped like a rocket!! He loved it! So happy to be out again! He jumped a great clear and gave plenty of height!! XC was similar,he went round like a pro as if he had done it all before. Completing on a double clear to finish 3rd in a very close section.

Lastly was the impressive grey Silver Lining. Still very new to eventing but learning more and more each outing. He has progressed well on the flat and is almost a show jumper turned eventer! Learning a very different way of going he will continue to develop. He scored a fairly harshly marked 35 in the dressage. He then was particularly chilled in the SJ and found this a lot less exciting than previously, unfortunately having 2 lazy poles, thinking the jumps weren't really big enough! XC he was a machine and didn't look at a thing. He didn't mind the mud or the hills and jumped a brilliant clear!
