Over the last week, Ginny has been putting in place the final preparations for the busy season ahead. On Monday, Ginny took Sannan Valley Justice, Gamblers Image, Divilabit, Belle III and Eires Rock cross country schooling at Tweseldown.

All the horses were on flying form and very glad to be out and about letting the hand brake off! Ginny and the horses are now all set for their first event of the season.

Out again on Tuesday Showjumping at Addington with the big boys, Divilabit, Gamblers Image and Eires Rock. This time they were jumping the coloured poles and having to slow the pace slightly. Lovely double clears from all of the horses in their respective classes and Ginny is confident that they are now all on form to do just as well during this season.

One last outing on Wednesday to do some arena eventing at Addington. Ex-racehorse, Empyrian, had her chance to prove herself and has certainly taken to becoming an event horse. Just seven weeks after her last race meeting she completed her first arena event in style. With no previous jumping experience she has picked up the different phases seamlessly. In previous dressage competitions she has been placed a very respectable third in her prelims. At Addington, she achieved a good test scoring 38 in a fairly high marking section followed by the cross country round as if she had been doing it for ever. She was a little tired in the Showjumping after her effort in the cross country and had a few poles but Ginny could not be happier with a very pleasing result. With such an exciting future ahead of her and at only four years old, Ginny is sure there is so much more to come.

We mustn’t forget Hamilton, who was a winner at Addington, he finished on his average dressage mark of 36 and followed with a fantastic double clear. Growing up so fast and becoming more and more experienced, Hamilton will surely be one to watch this season.

So, that brings us to the beginning of the season, with two new sponsors, plenty of horse power and ample supporters, fingers crossed Ginny has her most successful season yet....
