Winning and Road Trips!

A fun road trip with the Cottam and Brettell family along with my youngest supporter to date, baby Benji, up to Oasby on Red Nose Day, with their lovely Imperato for the Intermediate.

Percy's excitement had been bottling up for his first party and he was very much ready to go!

A rather 'interesting' dressage test but we managed to keep things under control, with exception of his walk. With some really pleasing parts, great mediums and much more relaxation than i expected for his first outing.

Show jumping went well, with a very unlucky rail, but his springs were definitely in his shoes. XC he was bold, careful and quick but caught out by an unlucky run out ( not that he was aware of it!) Jumping too boldly off a step to a tricky combination and angled hedge. A fence that had caused a number of problems and certainly needed respecting.

The next day Ginny headed off to Tweseldown with the new ride Knights Escapade owned by Mr Jim and Mrs Susie Wilson. Their homebred gelding may be little but he really is a little pocket rocket!

Posting an impressive 21.5 dressage in the BE100open, then a foot perfect double clear inside the time. It was a great run for us both, he felt confident and very keen. He finished on his dressage to WIN!!

He will now head to Goring Heath, where i hope we can equal our competitive result!
