The lovely 5 year old Confession Time, owned by Emily Tweedie, flew around the Novice at Smiths Lawn. He has such an exciting future ahead of him!

Wellington

Wow what a mega weekend at Wellington Horse Trials. One of my favourite events, beautifully run/organised. Amazing volunteers, fantastic educational courses and a lovely atmosphere.

The horses 5 horses were all pretty epic too!! Jumping 4 out of 5 D/C.

Saturday's alarm of 3.45am! Saw the 'Young Ones' in the 1.05.

5yo 'Confession Time' Owned by Em Tweedie didn't score his best mark to date but a very tricky Novice test for him and new movements he's not yet established in. He has so much power we just need to channel it. He then jumped a beautiful D/C, making it feel very easy and hard to believe he is only 5yo!

6yo 'CHF Archie' Owned by Jane-Nen Blakesley-Grimes Put his posh trotting shoes on, with a couple of baby mistakes again movements that are new to him, in his first season eventing. He then also jumped a perfect D/C to complete on his dressage to give us a podium finish of 2nd!

My own 'About Time Too' has certainly found his love again for eventing, jumping another double clear to finish on his dressage of 31 to place 3rd. He come such a long way and exciting that I may just have my 3* horse back for next year. Taking each event as it comes but here's hoping.

Sunday with the 'Big Boys' - back again with a slightly more sociable start and it was the turn of 'Undalgo De Windsor' having his final run before Burghley. A nice dressage with some added unnecessary flying changes. Then a rather jolly show jumping and very happy to be out adding just 4 faults. He then flew round the XC as if it was a 90, he feels very much ready for his next event... some how I think he might be slightly less cocky when hes jumped the first 3 fences!!!

Lastly was the turn of the little pocket rocket 'Trendy Captain Clover' Owned by Antonia Kaye and Milly Kaye. He was having his final run before the long format CCI4*L at Blenheim and what a great run for him, ever consistent in the dressage with a slightly harsh mark of 33. Then doing what he does best another D/C to finish on his dressage and pick up a top 10 placing.

So excited for these very special 5 boys! Each with a huge future and exciting things around the corner.
