HOUGHTON CCI**

Cruise On Inny and Undalgo De Windsor

A rather warm but brilliant 5 days in Norfolk with the big boys. Cruise On Inny in his first CCI**. He did a very smart test, and felt brilliant. Still fairly new to the more technical movements but with such an easy brain and good attitude to work with, he always tries his hardest. Always areas to improve but nevertheless a respectable 48 dressage.

Undalgo De Windsor, competed the next day in his dressage. He remained relaxed and rideable throughout, but just a couple of mistakes to lose a few marks. He has all the potential for a leading test and with on going training i hope it wont be too long until the marks show this. He scored a respectable mark of 54, although thinking it a little harsh.

The XC was beautifully built, with enough questions and a long enough distance. The water in particular was bold and the final combination at the end of the course was particularly challenging on a tired horse. Both horses loved the XC, Cruise On Inny out first, up on every minute marker but tired slightly towards the very end of the course adding just a few time faults but feeling fantastic all the way round. Undalgo De Windsor was also particularly speedy and jumped brilliantly to come home clear inside the time and remain on his dressage.

Trot up, followed by Show Jumping on Sunday and both boys came out very jolly and ready to play again. After bouncing down the trot up area,  they both regained their focus for jumping the coloured pole! Cruise On Inny, had a very unlucky pole after jumping extremely well. Undalgo De Windsor, jumped a faultless clear round to remain on his dressage.

Both horses finished well, Undalgo De Windsor 19th and Cruise On Inny in the top 30 in a very close and competitive section.

Another qualification added to both of their CVs which i hope will see an exciting autumn!
