Longleat International

Angellus, Pencader Poppy’s Charm, Eires Rock, Argentinus and Creeslough all had successful results at Longleat. Pencader Poppy’s Charm competed at her first event on a very wet day and Ginny forgave the two baby stops she put in round the cross country course. Angellus completed a superb double clear to finish firmly inside the placings in sixth. He was keenly watched by his owner, Nicki Kavanagh, who is looking forward to him continuing to improve during the summer. Eires Rock started a very pleasing dressage test, however let the atmosphere get to him a little too much during the walk so scored a rather disappointing 64.2 However, there is still time to improve this before Barbury next week. Saturday was a successful day, Argentinus did an accurate dressage test, which received a well deserved score of 29, and continued onto a double clear to earn him and Ginny a pleasing second rosette. Creeslough went extremely well in the dressage with a score of 31, however, after one down in the Showjumping, Ginny decided not to run him cross country as the going had become very deep and heavy. Altogether, a fabulous weekend – despite the mud and rain! Next week Ginny will be out in force at Barbury International. For all those planning on going to watch, you will be able to see Divilabit and Gamblers Image in the CIC***, Eires Rock in the CIC **, Creeslough in the Retrained Racehorse Intermediate Novice and Hamilton in the Burghley Young Event Horse.
