Wellington

Saturday at Wellington was great with Watch Me, Eyesnosebest and Worldly Wise in the BE100 Plus.

Ginny was very pleased with Eyesnosebest's test, thinking it one of her best but sadly the judge did not agree scoring her a harsh 36.5. She then went into the SJ and was jumping well, but slightly flat so added 2 rails to her dressage score but did a speedy clear XC , but a little too speedy adding 5 time faults for going to fast... whoops!

Worldly Wise unfortunately didn't want to play in the dressage on this day. Never the less she show jumped well, adding an unlucky rail but flew XC for a great clear.

Lastly was Watch Me, she did a fantastic test and scored 27, then just 1 rail down and a clear XC inside the time, leaving her in 1st place! She really has learnt so much over the last few months and is going from strength to strength.  Next stop for all 3 horses is Llamnynech Novice!

Now on to the very WET part of Wellington!
A busy day with Shannondale Sparky and Greenlough Dave in their first Intermediate, Imperato in the Intermediate and Creeslough in the Advanced. Really not the most ideal conditions for any of the above but we gave it our best shot!

Shannondale Sparky did a nice test, error free but the judge did not agree scoring him a VERY harsh 37!
Greenlough Dave made a few mistakes at this new level for him and came away with 36. Dressage king Imperato lead the dressage on a 26.8!

Showjumping did not go according to plan with the first time boys, hindsight is a wonderful thing and 'If only' springs to mind, the rain and conditions took its toll, so not the result that was hoped for their first Intermediate runs.
Imperato, a far more experienced jumper, jumped a great round and had an unlucky rail but coped brilliantly in the weather. He went on to produce a great clear XC adding a few time to his amazing dressage to finish 3rd in his section! Clever pony!

Ginny decided after Creeslough doing his personal best dressage score of 30 in the advanced not to run him on the difficult ground and save him, along with Shannondale Sparky and Greenlough Dave for another day. They are all Gatcombe bound.
