Swalcliffe Park

It was the babies turn and off to local Swalcliffe with 6 over the 2 days.

One Misty Morning, Silver Lining and Echo P having his first ever run. Day 1 of the 2 couldn't have been better, One Misty Morning did a super test of 25 then a brilliant double clear to finish 5th in his BE90Open class.

Silver Lining having just his 2nd run at eventing, completing a nice test and a perfect double clear finishing 11th in his BE100 section.
Echo P lead the dressage in the BE100 and followed this up with a double clear to WIN his first ever event! Start as we mean to go on...

Day two with the more experienced horses having their easy early run BE100 Open. New ride Trendy Captain Clover did his PB test for a 30 then a great Double clear to finish 8th in a competitive section.
Then Cruise On Inny was very jolly to be out although kept his cool to lead from start to finish after a double clear he WON his section.
Lastly, Knights Escapade back from his serious injury last year, it was a very happy time to see him out doing his thing. He lead the dressage and continued his good form for a double clear and also went on to WIN his section.

A really great weekend with fantastic owners and horses. I'm excited about the rest of the season and seeing how they all progress!

Gatcombe

Well not the best weekend and oh how horses can be great levellers!

About Time Too was in the Intermediate, after a good test he decided the water tray in the SJ was not for him..... with previous issues at such things with his old owner it would appear he has not overcome this.  Lots of work to be done at home and training to overcome his phobia! I'm sure he will make up for it!!

Back with Undalgo De Windsor in the Novice, after a 34 test with a couple of mistakes and an irritating 4 faults in the SJ after coping well in the mud he stormed round XC feeling brilliant and making nothing the ground conditions.

Foxy Lady was all ready to go in her IN section. She did a nice test for 34. But then during the warm up for the SJ, the heavens literally opened.. and storm Katie was well and truly present at Gatcombe. Sadly as a result of the conditions, the mud, wind and the rain Gatcombe had to make the decision to abandon the remaining sections.
